80th Anniversary
1940 - 2020
of the Le Paradis Massacre

and the role of Bill O'Callaghan Commemorated in Dereham

A moving service to the memory of the Royal Norfolks who lost their lives on 27th May 1940 in Le Paradis, France, and the two survivors William O'Callaghan and Albert Pooley. It was held in O'Callaghan Place where there is a memorial plaque to Bill O'Callaghan a brave Son of Dereham.
We are grateful to John Kerrison for allowing us to reproduce his article.
There is now a website dedicated to the memory of those that lost their life during the massacre and those that survived to tell the world. Click on the link here to go to the website http://www.leparadismassacre.com/
